Who should do this course?

If your job involves applying pesticides in a commercial role then you are legally required by the Chemicals Regulation Directorate (CRD) (Control of Pesticides Regulations 1986) (as amended) to take this CoC qualification.

Anyone wishing to take who wishes to take any other Pesticide ( PA) courses must have completed and passed this course first.

Please note that assessments will usually take place on a separate day around 1-2 weeks after training.

This training is for a machine applicator and must be preceded by the PA1 or Foundation Module.

You will only be qualified once you have been assessed for both modules.

After 26th November 2015, it will be an offence for anyone to purchase Plant Protection Products (PPPs) authorised for professional use unless they have ensured that the intended end user has a Certificate of Competence.

If a person does not hold a Certificate of Competence, they need to obtain one by 26th November 2015 so that they can legally purchase and apply pesticides on their own land/property or that of their employer. This qualification will be the City and Guilds NPTC Level 2 Award in the Safe Use of Pesticides Replacing Grandfather Rights.

Please note that assessments will usually take place on a separate day around 1-2 weeks after training to allow time to absorb the information given during training.

Business Management Training with Farmplan.

Farm accounts software, estate and rural business accounts software. Beyond the functionality of Business Manager Lite, Business Manager enables you to analyse enterprise performance and profitability e.g. calculate the margin per tonne produced; look at unit cost of production; and produce gross or net margin reports by financial year or farming year.

The program is different from many accounting products because it is designed specifically for agricultural and rural businesses.

Who should do this course?

Anyone required to use a sit-astride ATV as part of their work. This would include novices and experienced operators who require their skills up-dating, with certification.

This is a 1 day LANTRA course for experienced operators.

Who should do this assessment?

Anyone transporting live animals as part of their business or economic activity will be trained and competent. Those requiring to gain a Certificate of Competence will need to have it in place by 5 January 2008’ (amended to 30 April 08)
